On May 12, 2020, President Andrzej Duda signed a new National Security Strategy of Poland. This document replaced the previous strategy approved in 2014 and contains many changes. Usually such documents do not attract much attention outside of government and expert circles, but this time it happened differently.
In addition to these appeals, similar views can be seen in some articles in the Polish press. Experts, however, consider this position somewhat exaggerated. In particular, Polish expert in the field of security and defense Pawel Fleischer said this in a comment to the Week. „I think this interpretation is too far-fetched. Through COVID-19, no one but the expert community has responded to the adoption of the new Security Strategy. In the community itself, however, the discussion was only about strengthening the course towards Russia on the previous strategy”
