BELSAT: Patriot missile systems will not go to Ukraine

Germany finally refused to hand Patriot system to Kiev because of the threat of being drawn into a war with Russia. As Berlin wanted, the Patriots will probably protect the Polish sky. Poland and Germany are already discussing details of the deployment of German anti-aircraft missile systems on NATO’s eastern border.

„The transfer of weapons to the Ukrainian side could take from several months to a year. The Ukrainians learn very quickly how to handle new weapons from the United States or Western Europe. Examples are HIMARS complexes and battlefield reconnaissance radars. However, the Patriot system is much more sophisticated”

Polish military analyst Pawel Fleischer.
